Traditional Worship

Sundays at 8:45 am

WHAT’S THE MUSIC LIKE?
Our Sanctuary Choir typically leads music in our traditional service. The United Methodist Hymnal is our primary source of congregational music sung in service. We regularly have special music performed by the choir and guest musicians & ensembles.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
While there is no “official dress code” for the traditional service, many men wear nice shirts with ties, and ladies wear nice blouses or dresses. There are also plenty of people who feel comfortable wearing more relaxed clothing.

Contemporary Worship

Sundays at 11:00 am

WHAT’S THE MUSIC LIKE?
Our Praise Team leads the congregation in recent songs from artists like Elevation Worship, Hillsong United, and Phil Wickham as well as hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal. The chances are good that if you listen to Christian radio, you will be familiar with much of the music heard on Sunday morning. Check out FUMC Bossier’s Spotify for a sample.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We want all to feel welcome when you walk in, and not have to worry about fitting in based on what you’re wearing. It’s not uncommon to see someone in shorts and flip-flops sitting next to a friend in a button-down and tie. Jeans and a t-shirt are also pretty common.
