WHAT TO EXPECT ON CHRISTMAS EVE

A Warm, Peace-Filled Night for You and Your Family

When you walk through our doors on Christmas Eve, our hope is that you immediately feel something settle inside you — like coming home in the best possible sense of the word. We want your shoulders to drop, your breath to deepen, and your heart to feel at ease. Greeters will be stationed at every entrance to welcome you warmly and guide you to the sanctuary.

Before the service begins, a brass band will be playing classic Christmas carols—the kind of music that wraps you in warmth and memory.

Whether you’re an airman spending Christmas away from home, a family navigating the joy and wiggles of little ones, or someone returning to church for the first time in years, we’ve prepared this evening with you in mind.

CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Your children are absolutely welcome in the service.
We fully understand wiggles, whispers, and wide-eyed excitement—they’re part of the beauty of the night.

We will provide:

  • Childcare for ages 0–3
  • Activity bags for kids in the service
  • A sensory calm room for anyone who becomes overstimulated
  • Glow sticks for children during the candlelight moment

This is a judgment-free zone.
Truly.
No parent should ever feel anxious here.

MUSIC & MESSAGE

Classic Christmas carols, a hope-filled message, open Communion for all who desire Christ, and a beautiful candlelight moment.

The entire service lasts about one hour.

COMMUNION: A WELCOME FOR EVERYONE

We practice open Communion, which means:
If you desire the grace of Jesus Christ, you are welcome at His table.

This is not our invitation, it is Jesus’ invitation to you.

Whether you’re Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, non-denominational, or exploring faith for the first time… you are welcome to come. Communion can be a place where Christ meets you in ways you cannot understand until you respond to the invitation.

There is no pressure.
Come forward only if you desire to receive.

CANDLELIGHT MOMENT

Immediately after Communion, we will share in the candlelight ritual—one of the most treasured moments of the night.

We will guide you step-by-step:

  • How to light your candle safely

  • How to hold it

  • How the light spreads across the sanctuary

Children will receive glow sticks to participate safely.

PARKING, SEATING, & SAFETY
  • Clear signage will guide you from parking to the sanctuary.
  • Our greeters will help you find seats as needed.
  • You will not be singled out or asked to stand.
  • A Bossier Parish deputy will be present for safety and peace of mind.
  • Wear whatever feels comfortable — jeans, sweaters, suits, Christmas pajamas… come exactly as you are.

There is no expectation of giving; the offering moment is gentle, optional, and never pressured.

You will experience only grace.

Your comfort matters to us.
